Marriage Licenses
Congratulations on your marriage!
Applications for marriage licenses can be obtained up to 60 days before the wedding. One partner must sign the application at the office before the Clerk.
Notary Public
Notary services are available during normal business hours - free of charge.
Please bring a valid picture ID, and do not sign the document beforehand.
Research
Our vault is open to all visitors during normal business hours - appointments are not required.
However, if you think you will need help with your search, please try to call ahead. We cannot guarantee that research support will be available. Fees may apply.
Records & Document Requests
We do not offer online land records at this time.
Tax maps are available here. To request tax bills or lister cards, email docreq@shorehamvt.us.
Requests for electronic copies of land records must be accompanied by a book/page number. Otherwise, the record on the lister card will be provided.
Please allow one business day for document request; fees may apply.
Vital Records
Certified copies of Vermont birth certificates and Vermont death certificates are available upon request. Please bring a valid ID.
Certified copies of marriage licenses are available if one of the spouses was a Shoreham resident at the time of the marriage.
